HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SWIMSUIT?
To ensure your swimsuit stays in great condition for the summer and beyond, proper care is absolutely essential. How you wash and dry it is key. No one looks good in a stretched, wrinkled swimsuit, and misshaped bikini cups can ruin your look. So how should you care for your swimsuit?
1. Rinse the swimsuit after each use
Even if you haven’t spent the whole day at the pool, you must rinse your swimsuit to remove salt, chlorine, and sunscreen residues. Ideally, take a shower while still wearing it, using a small amount of shower gel. Then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
2. Never leave a wet swimsuit rolled up or in a bag
Prolonged exposure to chlorinated or salty water can cause fabric discolouration.
3. Hand wash your swimsuit only
Untie all straps before washing. Pay special attention to decorative elements and jewellery often adorning swimsuits, as they can easily tarnish or be damaged. After washing, it’s a good idea to dry the decorations separately. Soak the swimsuit for 15–30 minutes in lukewarm water (around 40°C) with a small amount of detergent for delicate fabrics. Then rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent residues.
4. Drying
Never tumble dry swimsuits or lingerie. Always lay them flat, away from direct sunlight (UV rays cause colours to fade). Do not hang by the straps – they could stretch and lose their elasticity.
5. Always wear your oldest swimsuit for jacuzzi use
Chlorine and hot water quickly destroy lycra and decorative elements. Reserve an older swimsuit for jacuzzi sessions to avoid damaging your favourite pieces.
Damage caused by not following the above care instructions cannot be accepted as grounds for complaint.
