HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SWIMSUIT?
To ensure your swimsuit stays in good condition for the summer and beyond, proper care is absolutely crucial. How you wash and dry it is key. No one looks good in a stretched, wrinkled swimsuit, and misshapen bikini cups can be a real styling disaster. So how should you wash your swimsuit?
1. Rinse your swimsuit after each use
Even if you haven’t spent the whole day swimming, you must rinse your swimsuit. Salt, chlorine, and sunscreen residues can permanently damage the fabric. It’s best to shower wearing your swimsuit straight after leaving the pool or sea. Use a little shower gel to soap it and then rinse well with warm water.
2. Never leave a wet swimsuit rolled up or in a bag
Long-term exposure to chlorinated or salty water can cause fabric discolouration.
3. Always hand wash your swimsuit
Untie all straps before washing. Pay special attention to decorative elements and jewellery, which can become dull and damaged quickly. After washing, dry decorations carefully. Soak the swimsuit for 15–30 minutes in lukewarm water (about 40°C) with a small amount of detergent for delicate fabrics. Then rinse thoroughly to remove any detergent residue.
4. Drying
Never tumble dry swimsuits or lingerie. Lay them flat away from direct sunlight (as it fades colours). Do not hang bras or swimsuits by the straps – they will stretch and lose elasticity.
5. Wear your oldest swimsuit for jacuzzi sessions
Avoid wearing embellished lycra swimsuits in jacuzzis. Hot water and chlorine quickly ruin the material. Always have a "sacrificial" swimsuit reserved for such occasions.
Damage caused by failure to follow the above care instructions cannot be accepted as grounds for complaint.
