HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SWIMSUIT?
To keep your swimsuit in good condition throughout the summer and for the seasons to come, proper care is essential. How you wash and dry it is absolutely crucial. No one looks good in a stretched-out, wrinkled swimsuit, and deformed bra cups can ruin the look. So how should you wash your swimsuit?
1. Rinse your swimsuit after every use
Even if you didn’t spend the entire day at the pool, you still need to rinse your swimsuit. Salt, chlorine, and sunscreen residue can permanently damage it. The best first step is to take a shower while wearing your swimsuit – a standard practice after leaving the pool or the sea. Use a little shower gel to lather it, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Never leave a wet swimsuit rolled up or in a bag.
Prolonged exposure to chlorinated or salty water can lead to fabric discoloration.
2. Hand wash only
Untie all strings before washing. Pay special attention to decorative and jewelry-like elements, as they can quickly become dull and damaged if handled improperly. It's best to dry them separately after washing. Soak the swimsuit for 15–30 minutes in lukewarm water (around 40°C) with a small amount of delicate fabric detergent. Then rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent residue.
3. Drying
Swimsuits and lingerie should never be tumble-dried. Lay them flat to dry, away from direct sunlight (which can cause fading). Do not hang bras by the straps – they will stretch out and lose elasticity.
4. Always wear your oldest swimsuit in the jacuzzi
Avoid wearing lycra swimsuits with lamé or jewelry in hot tubs. Hot water and chlorine quickly break down the material. If you're a jacuzzi lover, buy a cheap swimsuit for this specific use – you won’t mind if it wears out quickly.
Damage resulting from failure to follow these instructions is not grounds for complaint.
