HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SWIMSUIT?
To keep your swimsuit in great condition throughout the summer and make it last into the next season, proper care is essential. How you wash and dry it is absolutely crucial. No one looks good in a stretched-out, wrinkled swimsuit, and deformed bikini cups can really ruin your image. So, how should you wash your swimsuit?
1. Rinse your swimsuit after every use
Even if you haven’t spent the whole day in the pool, you need to rinse your swimsuit. Salt, chlorine, and sunscreen residue can permanently damage the fabric. The best way to start is by showering in your swimsuit – it’s standard practice after leaving the pool or sea. Use a bit of shower gel and lather the swimsuit, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Never leave a wet swimsuit rolled up or in your bag.
Prolonged exposure to chlorinated or salt water can lead to fabric discoloration.
2. Hand wash only
Untie all straps before washing. Pay special attention to decorative elements and jewelry, which can quickly fade or become damaged with improper care. It’s also worth drying these details gently after washing. Soak your swimsuit for 15–30 minutes in lukewarm water (about 40°C) with a small amount of detergent for delicate fabrics. Then rinse thoroughly to remove any detergent residue.
3. Drying
Never tumble dry swimsuits or lingerie. Lay the swimsuit flat to dry, away from direct sunlight (which causes colors to fade). Do not hang bras by their straps – they will stretch and lose elasticity.
4. Always wear your old swimsuit in the jacuzzi
Avoid wearing swimsuits with lycra, lamination, or jewelry into the jacuzzi. Hot water and chlorine quickly damage these materials. If you love hot tubs, buy a cheap swimsuit just for that purpose – you won’t regret it if it wears out fast.
Damage caused by improper care as described above will not be accepted as grounds for complaints or returns.
