HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SWIMSUIT?
To keep your swimsuit in great condition throughout the summer and ensure it lasts into the next season, proper care is essential. How you wash and dry it is crucial. Nobody looks good in a stretched, wrinkled swimsuit, and deformed cups can ruin your look.
1. Rinse after each use
Even if you haven't been in the pool all day, you should rinse your swimsuit. Salt, chlorine, and sunscreen residues can damage the fabric. It's best to shower in your swimsuit – this is common practice after leaving the pool or sea. Use a little shower gel and lather the swimsuit, then rinse well with warm water.
Never leave a wet swimsuit rolled up or in your bag.
Prolonged exposure to salt or chlorinated water can cause fabric discoloration.
2. Hand wash only
Untie all strings before washing. Pay special attention to decorative elements or jewelry, which can fade or get damaged if not handled properly. Pat them dry after washing. Soak the swimsuit for 15–30 minutes in lukewarm water (approx. 40°C) with a mild detergent for delicate fabrics. Then rinse thoroughly.
3. Drying
Never tumble-dry swimsuits or lingerie. Lay flat to dry, away from direct sunlight – it causes fading. Do not hang bras by their straps – they stretch and lose shape.
4. Use your oldest swimsuit in the jacuzzi
Avoid wearing lycra swimsuits with lamination or jewelry in jacuzzis. Hot water and chlorine damage such materials. If you love hot tubs, buy a cheap swimsuit for this purpose – you won’t mind if it wears out fast.
Damage resulting from improper care is not a valid reason for complaints or returns.
