HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SWIMSUIT?

To keep your swimsuit in great shape all summer and make it last into the next season, proper care is essential. How you wash and dry it is absolutely crucial. No one looks good in a stretched or wrinkled swimsuit, and misshapen bra cups can ruin the look. So how should you care for it?

1. Rinse your swimsuit after each use
Even if you haven’t spent the entire day at the pool, you must rinse your swimsuit. Salt, chlorine, and sunscreen residue can permanently damage the fabric. The best way to start is to shower while wearing your swimsuit – a standard routine after leaving the pool or sea. Use a bit of shower gel to lather it and rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Never leave a wet swimsuit rolled up or in a bag.
Prolonged exposure to chlorinated or salty water can cause fabric discoloration.

2. Hand wash only
Untie all straps before washing. Pay special attention to decorative elements and jewelry, which often embellish swimsuits – they can become dull or damaged quickly with improper care. It’s best to dry these elements separately after washing. Soak the swimsuit for 15–30 minutes in lukewarm water (approx. 40°C) with a small amount of detergent for delicate fabrics. Then rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent residue.
