HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SWIMSUIT?
To keep your swimsuit in good shape all summer – and beyond – you need to take proper care of it. Washing and drying routines are absolutely crucial. No one looks great in a stretched-out or wrinkled bikini, and deformed bra cups can ruin your beach look. So how do you wash it?
1. Rinse after every use
Even if you haven't spent all day at the pool, you should always rinse your swimsuit. Salt, chlorine, and sunscreen residue can permanently damage the fabric. The best practice is to take a shower wearing your swimsuit. Use a bit of shower gel and lather the fabric. Then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Never leave a wet swimsuit rolled up or in your bag.
Prolonged exposure to chlorinated or salty water can cause fabric discoloration.
2. Hand wash only
Untie all strings before washing. Pay special attention to decorative and jewelry elements, which can quickly tarnish or get damaged if not handled carefully. After washing, dry them gently. Soak the swimsuit for 15–30 minutes in lukewarm water (around 40°C) with a small amount of mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly to remove all residue.
3. Drying
Never tumble-dry swimsuits or lingerie. Lay them flat on a surface, away from direct sunlight (which can cause colors to fade). Do not hang bras by the straps – they’ll stretch and lose elasticity.
4. Always wear your oldest swimsuit in the jacuzzi
Avoid wearing swimwear with laminate or jewelry details in hot tubs. Hot water and chlorine will quickly ruin the fabric. If you're a jacuzzi fan, keep a cheap swimsuit just for that purpose – you won’t mind if it wears out quickly.
Damage caused by not following these care instructions is not grounds for a complaint.
